During our performance at the Vancouver International Burlesque Festival this weekend, I recognized Pete McMartin in the audience. McMartin is a columnist for the Vancouver Sun, and a rather good one at that. I saw him jotting things down in a little notebook, which I figured was good news for us.
Saturday's newspaper contained a wonderful column all about Shaboobie Boobarella, Pink Flamingo Burlesque, and the festival.
You can read the full article here: Shaboobie, Boylesque, and Skull-and-Crossbone Pasties.
This is how he describes Shaboobie:
"She was, longitudinally, a petite thing, standing short even in her high heels, while latitudinally, her
Tropic of Cancer had a circumference of breathtaking proportions. It measured, she estimated,
around a 40D, and it billowed over the top of her corset like twin loaves of rising bread."
